There's been a fair amount of news this week, so here's a roundup:
- Angband porting tools released
Antony Sidwell has uploaded Angband-Kit to his website, a set of tools which he has developed and used while porting numerous Angband variants to RISC OS. Angband-Kit and the aforementioned Angband ports can be found here on Antony's website
- Ezkzo pre-release released
Ezkzo is Neil White's latest creation, a desktop puzzle game based around clearing blocks off of the play area. This is a pre-release version available as a treat to RISC OS users, as the full version will be a multi-platform shareware endeavour. You can download it here from Neil's site (Which requires the DigitalRenderer and SharedUnixLibrary modules available from chocky.org). Once completed, the full version will be available for five pounds.
- Moan and demo released
7th software have released Moan, a desktop card game for up to four players. The game is currently available on special offer for just £9.99, and a singe-player demo is also available from the website.
- Wari announced, demo released
Brain Games have also been busy as of late, working on their latest game Wari. It's a bit of an odd one this, but is actually a West African variant the oldest game known to civilised man. Once again played from the desktop, the aim of Wari is to capture your opponent's seeds (or shells) in hollows in the ground. The demo can be played against a human or computer opponent, but the full version (available early next year) features support for four players, customisable rules, and 10 varied levels of intelligence for the computer players.
