Hello, I am new to the Icon Bar Forums. I'd just like to ask, while this is a perfect place for me to discuss Acorn/BBC/RISC OS issues, would it be possible for me to also use the forums to discuss other non-Acorn related issues like Internet, Web, networking and PC technologies? There must be a board for it somewhere... thanks. What does this 'Parse for bbcode' mean?

You can get away with posting just about anything in the Playpen forum. Internet, web and networking posts can probably go in the General forum.

Parse for bbcode means that your post will be checked for occurences of "bbcode", which is a code similar to HTML used to apply formatting to your post (such as bold, italic). It's used on a lot of other boards.

The year is 1984, the name of the place is Channel 4.

"Reality" tv is only good when people have guns.

In order to end all reality TV I've invented a show called Who Wants to be a Roman Gladiator.

Obviously all the sad bastards who watch these shows will enter, the winners are chosen, and the rest get thrown to the lions and filmed for the bloopers special that airs at christmas.

To avoid any legal problems I'll put it all in the contract, won't matter because none of them will be able to read.
